These fish are WILD CAUGHT

Found in Sanggau and Kapuas Lakes regions in West Kalimantan, Indonesia.

Ploeg's glassfish is known for its transparent or translucent body, which makes it quite distinctive among aquarium fish. This transparency allows you to see the internal organs of the fish, including the spine and digestive tract, which is an adaptation to avoid predation by making it less visible to potential predators.  Although not completely transparent, you can see black vertical bars on the body along with hints of red on the top and bottom fins.  (Photo is a stock photo we found on google for now.)

These fish are generally peaceful and can be kept in aquariums, but they do require certain conditions to thrive. They prefer slightly acidic to neutral water conditions and should be kept in small groups.  These are excellent schooling fish.
